Chase House At Mill Falls Wedding // Erica + Ian // Meredith, New Hampshire
I was so fortunate because of the opportunity to capture beautiful weddings in this nature state all year round. On the day of the wedding, we were relieved to see such good weather. This fall in New England has been particularly wet and rainy. So when the wedding day was overcast but still sunny, we celebrated a little. After all, that’s perfect wedding weather.
I love when even the elements come out to celebrate a couple’s love. That was absolutely the case for Erica and Ian’s wedding at Chase House at Mill Falls in Meredith, NH. It was everything you could dream of in a New England Fall wedding. From the rich colors in the florals to the stunning foliage, it was a perfect October day on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Mill Falls property is mix of two wedding venues, The Chase House and Church Landing. I’m sure they are one of the favorite wedding venues for wedding photographer in NH as well because the magnificent lake view and twilight skies. The Chase House is the wedding venue across from the boardwalk, up the hill with view of overlooking the Lake Winnipesaukee.
There are many wedding venues in lake region. However, I don’t think anyone could compete with Mill Falls’s wedding venue’s views, convenient locations and entertainment services.

Erica and Ian had their first look at the Mill Falls where they had their first kiss. Now you can see why the Mill Falls is so special to them. They requested to have their photo taken in front of the fall with “Just Married Lake Winnipesaukee” signage. It was very special to them. This wedding is not just about Erica and Ian. It is a family celebration with their children and family. This is the first wedding I witnessed with all children wedding party.
Little But Amazing Surprise at Chase House at Mill Falls Wedding
We had a wedding-day surprise when we got to the dock for wedding portraits. The crescent moon was hanging low in the sky with a beautiful sunset over the lake. The pink and purple twilight was reflected in the water resulting in this dreamy, ethereal background. You can clearly see it in the photos. What a stunning natural backdrop! It was just amazing.
I loved working with Erica because of the confidence she exuded. I work with plenty of brides, and not all of them are comfortable being photographed. Not so for Erica! This bride was perfectly confident—and then excited to see the pictures come back in. Of course, I couldn’t blame her. She was simply exquisite in her gown with her fall-colored floral crown. And her smile was simply infectious. She and Ian looked so happy in every photograph.
After Erica received the sneak peek photos, she said that she had fallen in love and was obsessed with them! She even submitted some of her photos to NH Wedding Magazine, where they were accepted for online showcase and print in early 2019. I’m very excited about that. I’m proud of how much I have accomplished since I started wedding photography last year.
